We are providing you two methods, both these methods served our purpose perfectly. Moreover, you can use these methods for both purposes.

Method 1: Disable from Services

This method is quick and easy rather than the other one. Follow the steps below to get your desired results.

Disable Superfetch

  • Hold Windows Key and press “R”.
  • Type “services.msc” -> “Enter“.
  • Find “Superfetch”.
  • Right-click “Superfetch“ -> “Properties“.
  • Click on the “Stop” button.
  • Click on “Startup type” -> Dropdown menu -> “Disabled“.

Method 2: from Registry.

  • Hold Windows Key and press “R”.
  • Type “regedit” -> “Enter“.
  • You’ll be in Registry menu, Expand the following Entries.
  1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  2. SYSTEM
  3. Current
  4. Control
  5. Session 
  6. Memory
  7. Prefetch
  • Look for EnableSuperfetch -> Right Click -> Add “0” in Value data -> select OK.
  • Close Registry Editor.
